Oral Surgery is the branch of dentistry that involves the diagnosis and treatment of problems and abnormalities within the mouth, teeth, gums, and jaw.
Our specialist team can help with the following treatments:
Oral Surgeons work closely with General Practitioners (GPs), General Dental Practitioners (GDPs) and other Specialists in dentistry, medicine, and surgery to ensure you receive the very best care.
At Atelier Dentistry, we want to make a visit for oral surgery as relaxed and comfortable as possible.
We’ll begin by welcoming you through to our modern clinic. We’ll then review your medical history and discuss why you’ve come to see us. If you take medication, it can be helpful to bring along a copy of your prescriptions so we can add this to your records.
Our specialist Oral Surgeon will then perform a detailed examination of your mouth and may request some radiographs or a Cone- Beam CT scan to help plan the proposed procedure. Following this, one of our team will take the time to explain the procedure fully and talk through risks, benefits and alternatives with you. We’ll take as much or as little time as you like to answer any questions you may have.
At the time of the procedure, our Oral Surgeon will ensure the area of surgery is anaesthetised (numbed) well. All our surgeries are performed in a sterile environment and most procedures typically take less than an hour.
We’ll finish up by making sure that you are ready to leave and you will be welcome to stay in our comfortable recovery lounge for as long as you wish.
