The key to successful dental treatment is in the planning stages. During your initial consultation, we will explore your case history. You will have a full treatment plan prepared covering both dental and medical aspects.
We will discuss your case and consider all of the treatment options available to you, if yours is a relatively straightforward case it is possible to provide a costed Treatment Plan at the first visit. For more complex cases, where other Specialists need to be involved, it is sometimes necessary to have a second appointment which may involve the combined knowledge of more than one Specialist.
Here is an overview of a typical patient treatment journey here at Atelier Dentistry:
Your first appointment with us is nothing to worry about. This is your chance to meet the team and discuss your dental needs and concerns. Your clinician will be able to assess your treatment needs and provide further information about our treatments and services. You may also have some digital images taken and a 3D digital scan to help with diagnosing and treatment planning.
We will provide you with a Treatment Plan based on your wishes and concerns, the initial consultation, clinical information and any further investigations we may carry out. This Treatment Plan will include options where relevant and a clear recommendation together with an estimate of costs and length of time to complete the treatment. We will discuss the treatment plan in detail with you prior to you making a decision.
If you decide to go ahead with treatment, you will be able to sign the proposed Treatment Plan acceptance online and we will then arrange for any deposit and fee payment to be made. Alternatively, we will also progress any initial patient finance application.
Further to you formally accepting your Treatment Plan, we will plan and book the necessary appointments for the course of treatment. If any initial treatment has been agreed to be carried out by your normal dentist prior to commencement of our treatment, we will liaise with them to co-ordinate timings. We will keep you informed at all times.
Once treatment is finished, we will carry out a series of specific actions designed to check everything planned has worked as intended and then confirm that your treatment is completed. This will include asking for your feedback about the treatment, our care and your overall experience.
To ensure long-term success of the treatment, we will discuss the importance of ongoing regular check-ups and conscientious oral hygiene with your regular dentist. In the rare event of post-treatment complications, we guarantee that you will receive remedial care as a priority.
